Data Privacy Policy – GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

We take security very seriously at Exmoor Eyecare and all our information we hold is securely held and protected. We do not pass on information to any third party unless the patient has requested us to do so, for example a Doctor or family relative.

We do use some outside companies that hold your information. This is securely held, protected and follows to the regulations issued by the ICO (Information Commissioners Office) and GDPR.

We shall contact you when the Optometrist has recommended that you are due to be seen again for an Eye Examination. This is not considered Marketing and does not fall under the same GDPR regulations. We would also inform you of Medical information, products, services and offers that may be of interest to you.

As a caring family run Independent Opticians, we would like to occasionally send you information about what we are doing to keep you informed of our charity work and promotions. We find that Emails are the easiest and most efficient way of doing this. Although we may occasionally send this to you in your recall letter.

You can request that we do not contact you for either your Eye Examination recall or our Newsletters at any time by either calling in, Email or telephone.

For further information please contact Mr Daniel Searle at dan@exmooreyecare.co.uk who is responsible for all our Data Information.
